These are our original PB Kisses that are now temporarily named Jerry's Kisses during our fundraiser for a very sweet boy named Jerry. He is currently being fostered through Pug Rescue of Florida & Georgia.  

Jerry's story:  Three months ago, Jerry and his brother were surrendered  to PRFG by their breeder. They were told that the one puppy had an injury. Then they were told it was hip dysplasia. But when they picked him up, they knew it was more than that. Jerry couldn't walk very far without stumbling and falling and struggled to stand up. Foster mom took Jerry to veterinarians, specialists, neurologists and then on to diagnostic testing. Jerry's journey led them to an MRI and what it revealed, changed everything.

The MRI showed that Jerry had Congenital Vertebral Malformation, also known as CVM. Several of the vertebrae in Jerry's upper back did not form normally, creating an abnormal curve in his spine that is compressing his spinal cord. So what now?

There is hope. Jerry is a candidate for an extensive spinal reconstruction. It's not a simple surgery. Surgeons will need to relieve the severe compression on his spinal cord and stabliize his spine using bone grafts and specialized vertebral implants.

It will be a major surgery. The recovery will be long and there are no guarantees. But Jerry has something today that we weren't sure he would ever have: a chance! A chance for greater mobility. A chance for greater independence. A chance at the most normal life possible.

So we decided to help Jerry along his journey. Every half pound bag purchased between now and September 1st will be entered into a drawing for a free 3 months of our monthly Subscription Boxes. Each half pound bag is an entry. Enter as much as you like. The full $10 fee for each bag will be donated to Pug Rescue of Florida and Georgia for Jerry's medical care.

My shop is dedicated to my pugs but especially to my Sherman. He had food allergies his whole life and so I would frequently make him homemade cookies that didn’t contain all the additives and ingredients that he was allergic to.

All my dog treats are made to order and I use only high quality, human grade ingredients.
